%X This paper presents the results of the mapping of the changes in land use and land cover of the Bocarra River watershed, in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in the last 11 years, using images of Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM). We used images of Landsat 7 and Landsat 8, in 2003 and 2014, respectively. The selected scenes were imaged on January 6 and 29, 2003, for Landsat 7, and December 5 and 14, 2014, for Landsat 8. Six types of LULC types were defined for supervised classification: water, grassland, agriculture, forest, reforestation and urban. The method used for the classification was the MaxVer. To facilitate the visual identification of the different types of LULC in the training stage, we performed five work trips to the study area. Findings show that in the Bocarra River watershed the predominant class in 2003 was grassland, that occupied 70,93% of the watershed area, decreased about 52.5% in those eleven years. The agricultural area increased 279.9% in the study period, occupying 41,01% of the watershed in 2014. The forest area increased 6.77% and the reforestation area decreased 82.94% in this period. Based on the results presented, we can notice that there was an increase in the in the agriculture areas, that occupied areas previously occupied by grassland. The growth of agricultural areas was, for the most part, increase soybean cultivation in the Bocarra River watershed.
